Welcome, welcome. Funnel Creators Secrets Podcast. I’m your host Val Kuikman and today is episode 46 of the podcast where we’ll be talking all about the beginner’s network marketers or online entrepreneurs guide to creating a killer sales funnel.

Val Kuikman:
Now we all want to create sales funnels. It’s how we attract and generate leads, recruit more people in our network marketing business, so today is going to be a great episode. It’s a great way to start out the week.

Val Kuikman:
We all know that a good sales funnel can turn out to be something miraculous and be a great generator of leads, really grow our lists where we can put them into another funnel to generate a huge amount of revenue with our products and services. Correct? And you can even recruit more reps this way as well. It’s an automation tool to help you save time.

Val Kuikman:
When you’re first creating a sales funnel you might find it’s really difficult to make your way around. Like you don’t know the tools. How do you get them in? How do you put them through it? Like how do you sell them without being like sales-y and spam-y? I get all the main reasons but I want you guys to keep it simple. It’s not as difficult as we make it out to be in our mind. I want to be focused on the simplicity of this and help you create a sales funnel for your network marketing business for either your products, services, recruiting.

Val Kuikman:
Here’s how we go through a classic sales model. This is how most of them work where awareness … Like you’re doing publishing every day, like blog posts if you’re good at blogs, if you’re good at videos, live videos like Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, Facebook. They’re all doing live videos is huge, right? You know, blogs, live videos, podcasts are amazing. These are the types of things you want to be publishing content. Anything on social media.

Val Kuikman:
Then once we’re getting them aware of us, that’s the awareness phase, we’re getting them aware of what we offer, what we’re about, the like and trust factor we’re increasing that. Then it’s a consideration. They’re going to consider whether they find your topics or services or whatever you’re offering to be valuable or a need for them. Your leads are going to determine through all this content you’re publishing and information as they’re going through your funnel and you’re telling them what you offer and what value it could be.

Val Kuikman:
They’re going to consider it and then they’re going to have a preference whether they prefer to have your services or if your products will benefit them if they prefer that. Or maybe they’re looking at other things and they think that yours is the best based on whatever benefits they’re going to get, whether they like and trust you and the price, the added things that are thrown into your offers, that kind of thing. That’s their preference. You or somebody else?

Val Kuikman:
Then they’re going to make a purchase with your product. Awesome. That’s exactly the goal we wanted. Right? Then there’s loyalty. Are they going to come back because you delivered, you over-delivered, on your product, they got the results they wanted, they love you and all the information you’re giving and they’re going to come back and it’s customer loyalty. You’re building those raving fans. We all want that die hard that’s like, “I live and die and anything she puts out I just want to opt into.” Those are the raving fans. Those are the people we want to create in our business. That’s amazing.

Val Kuikman:
I just want to give you guys three simple steps for building a killer sales funnel. Okay? For network marketing or even if you’re an entrepreneur, same thing applies. We do it the same way. A lot of people think it’s more difficult because you’re in network marketing. It’s not. It’s simple. The same way.

Val Kuikman:
Step one, learn how to create your own process, [inaudible 00:04:01] or offer. If you’re in an MLM and you offer makeup products, what’s your offer? Like your company probably gives you some package deals. Maybe you’re going to sell this package. Explain what you have to offer to your potential client. Explain it to them because they don’t know. What we don’t know we don’t know, right?

Val Kuikman:
You need to come up with a good offer for your potential audience and you need to create it. Like what else can you add to it? Because if you’re just going to offer this package and you’re in the makeup business there’s thousands of thousands of people with that same exact package. What makes them want to buy from you than somebody else? They can just go buy it wherever. Right?

Val Kuikman:
There’s extra things you’re going to have to add to this offer to make it better. You can add videos of you putting on the makeup to show them how to do it. You can send them a cheat sheet or even like maybe you can take some pictures of you doing it, put it all on a piece of paper with directions and give that to them. You can put them in the Facebook group for ongoing support where you’re going to do like live videos where you put on the makeup and ask them whatever questions, they can answer questions directly to you at that time.

Val Kuikman:
You’ve got to give them something extra to stand apart because you’re just like the thousands of other people in your business if you don’t. Because everybody’s selling the same thing, there’s no reason for them to buy from you as opposed to the next person. This is why creating an offer is like step number one cause it’s huge.

Val Kuikman:
To get them in, you’re not just going to go and go sell them a package. The first step is the offer is your initial lead magnet, something free. What can you give them for free at the beginning? Before you start selling them your products and services what can you give them for free that they really need? That’ll solve a huge problem for them?

Val Kuikman:
As you’re creating your offer, you might find little things inside that you want to send them first that you can offer for free before they even buy your products. Something so valuable that they’re going to come back and see what else do you have?

Val Kuikman:
There’s tons of ideas, like literally tons. If you have questions here’s some choices right now. A webinar, an ebook, a detailed report, a video tutorial for a new skill, a free membership to a magazine, a course, something that you offer, for your recipes. For anyone in the health industry, people love recipes. Making them quick or crockpot recipes were a big thing, slow cooker. I’m sure they still are because everybody likes to make things easier with their busy life.

Val Kuikman:
It’s super important that you provide them with something that’s relevant and it’s valuable and credible. Like you just don’t want to send them some free thing you found on the internet. You need to customize it to yourself. Don’t copy people’s things. Be authentic and ethical.

Val Kuikman:
The whole purpose of getting your free lead magnet is to provide them some kind of real value up front, which turns out to be effective. Then after you get them you’re gonna move to step two, which is like other people successful … Consider examples. Like here’s successful sales funnels for network marketing that have helped companies … Netflix does a great job with their marketing. Like check out their marketing. Base Camp, Harvest Crazy, and Egg dot com does like an amazing job. They offer website tools to help people like increase the visibility and like get them more seen on social and they offer this free heat map that shows where people went on their website. A heat map basically shows them every move they make on their website. You can see where customers are getting hung up in the funnel and you can improve that. That’s a huge valuable tool for free for anyone that’s in network marketing.

Val Kuikman:
Also if you’re investigating this, like Netflix, what made them unique? They overdid everybody. They put video stories out of business, Netflix. What did they do that was so different? That strategy we need to use that and apply it to their business. Like I think Netflix offers a free month and you can cancel anytime. I mean, that’s a big offer. Once they get in there, they see all the value, all the movies you get for free and stuff and, of course, they hang around and the price too. How could you do that where you can offer something for free or something amazing upfront where it sees they’re going to get for a valuable offer so they hang around for for more?

Val Kuikman:
It’s super important to research … We call it offer hacking too. It’s super important to research people in your niche. If you’re in the health industry or in the health MLM or weight loss, keto is a big one right now. Check out keto. Beachbody’s and MLM. If you’re not in Beachbody’s MLM check out their marketing because they did an excellent job with marketing their fitness programs and their health products.

Val Kuikman:
What words are they using? When you’re talking to people about weight loss, what’s their problems that come up? What happens when they want to lose weight? What comes up with that? Like ask them those and then you’re going to solve those problems. Like right upfront. You’re going to solve the weight loss problems. You know what I mean? I think I stopped recording here. Sorry, guys.

Val Kuikman:
Step three is getting massive traffic but you’ve got to make sure that your offer is … I’m sorry, guys. Some reason I got bumped off.

Val Kuikman:
You got to make sure that your sales funnel is working before you start getting massive traffic to it. It’s going to take a little bit of tweaking and this is where people get really frustrated. They think something’s broke. Nothing’s broke. We have to tweak it, see what words we could use differently. Maybe we can offer it in a different way. Like maybe the wording is off. We need to keep tweaking it but you need to keep testing too.

Val Kuikman:
Then when you know you’re consistently getting good opt-ins to your lead magnet, your sales page, if you have one-time offers in there or upsells, down sells, if we’re getting good engagement on all those we know our funnel is working correctly because we’re getting we’re getting conversions, we can start opening that up to like Facebook ads, PPC, other ads in other places, like even helping affiliates promote your stuff.

Val Kuikman:
It takes a lot of testing because check what’s more effective, where are people running into … In your sales funnel, where are they stopping? That’s where we need to work on. It takes a lot of patience to do this and it takes time and there’s nothing broke. It’s just improving. Understand that too.

Val Kuikman:
You can start running Google ads, PPC ads, Facebook ads, Instagram ads, LinkedIn ads, Pinterest. Like all this stuff you can start opening up to all these people, the traffic, so you can start getting greater downloads, build your list and get more sales.

Val Kuikman:
That’s like the key to a sales funnel, the three main steps. I’ll go over them against for you guys because I got a little sidetracked here with the getting bumped off line.

Val Kuikman:
You have to learn how to create your own process, [inaudible 00:11:46] offer. That’s number one. You better work on number one because it’s the biggest one. Then step number two is like go hack your competitors and see what words they’re using and how they’re setting up their offers, and what offers, and what it looks like. Do a little bit of research upfront. Then once you get this all working, you’re going to open up to a test group and start seeing where people are stopping in your sales funnel based on basically demographics and stuff and analytics you’re going to get from your web host. We’re gonna work on tweaking those and getting it effectively moving forward.

Val Kuikman:
Then once we have that all dialed in and that could take a little bit, you’re going to open it up to massive traffic so you can get that back on your investment.

Val Kuikman:
The key thing to do with step one of your funnel, when you’re creating it and like you first opened it up when it’s all completed, the key to that initially is to break even. Understand that you have your lead magnet and then you have a sales page right after it. Whatever that sales page is we want to break even. We want the cost of your ads to be equal to or lower than your initial opt-in after your lead magnet too.

Val Kuikman:
That’s the key. A lot of people throw all this money into ads and then they end up losing big time because they’re not doing it correctly. That’s just the key. Like if you guys need some help with this I have a network marketing group. Then helping them adjust it and tweak it so they can have massive growth and lead gen in their MLMs as well as showing them a recruiting funnel as well because it’s all … It’s basically the same offer just worded differently for different people.

Val Kuikman:
If you guys want to learn more about this and you really, really want to generate more leads, get more sales, and be this unique person not doing this in their MLMs because I know a lot of them aren’t … We’re still teaching the antiquated social media Facebook training on attraction marketing that we’ve all seen a million times.
